To encourage foreign investment in Russia, some regions of the country began to provide extensive support for large investors who were worth over $100 million. The Kaliningrad Oblast, the St. Petersburg/Leningrad Oblast, and the Kaluga Oblast are all such regions. Most of the world’s biggest automotive companies opened up branches in Russia under Putin’s Presidency and Premier such as: Magna International, Suzuki, Nissan, Toyota, General Motors, Ford Motor Company, Hyundai Motor, Scania, and MAN SE.

Putin brought the main aircraft producing companies under a single umbrella organization called the United Aircraft Corporation in 2005. The rationale behind this was the optimization of production lines and the minimization of losses. The United Aircraft Corporation enjoyed considerable financial support from the Russian government as one of the so-called national champions. The Russian government injected money to the companies it had acquired so as to improve their financial standing. I wonder if the government pumped any money into e27 led producing companies?
